Watch out for lost pet scams
Please be aware that it’s common for scammers to target lost dogs owners, consider the following:
- Do not send money to anyone claiming to have your dog.
- Always ask that your pet is safely returned to you before paying a reward.
- Careful with someone claiming to need money to ship your pet to you. (Very common scam)
- Meet the person claiming to have your dog in a public place.
- Alert the police if you run into any difficulties with the person claiming to have found your dog.
